Archer’s Edge at the 3Di Triple Crown Leg 1 – 2026
This weekend saw the big Kick off for the 2026 3Di Triple Crown with Leg 1 being shot over two days over at Wildcrete…
Warm…warm…warm…hot…hot…hot…!
We usually complain about the wind at Wind(Wildcrete)… but not this year… any breeze was welcome anytime! Saturday was really a scorcher… We had a few of our club members brave the elements to have a fun day out shooting our bows.
Day 1 on the aided range was not too bad, had the Golden dragon which is a new target, still getting used to. Ending our day having a shot at a very dark Buffalo…placed at max distance.
Day 2 on the aided range was a bit more tricky, with alot of black targets with no definition, like the Black Wildebeest, the Baboon and the Bison…all with little to no definition (depending on what time of day you met these life-size animals….we also had the red dragon on this course. The pygmy Eland…could easily throw you off while judging….
All and all, Archers Edge did exceptionally well, with our Unaided team taking Gold and our Aided teams taking 2nd, 4th and 5th. Both Waterkloof’s teams got podium finishes……
Congratulations once again with a great performance.
