How the Scoring Works
FORMAT:
An archer is required to have at least 5 arrows to compete with. The archer will start at any one of 6 possible positions (first come, first served) with up to 4 archers per butt. The butts are ranged from 15yds to 40yds.
The archers will shoot 4 arrows on every butt and score accordingly. Every target has standard scoring rings including an X-ring (used for tie breaks) as well as two BONUS rings. The bonus ring has a different value according to the butt it is placed on. The archer can choose to shoot for a bonus ring at any time during event, but once a butt is completed, they cannot return to that butt. There is just one bonus arrow.
In total, 25 arrows will be shot for the competition and a League Shoot should be completed in approx 90minutes.
SCORING – Round:
Every archer must shoot the full round of 6 butts, 4 arrows per Butt.
Scoring Rings are X (value of 10), 10, 9, 8, 7 with a large bonus ring, which can add up to 10 points, as well as a small bonus ring that can add up to 15 points to the total score.
An archer must nominate when they go for a bonus ring (Before Shooting) and can only do so once per shoot. Accidentally hitting a bonus ring counts normal scoring, not bonus scoring.
NB: A Bonus Arrow Must be Nominated and can only be used ONCE per shoot.
