Family Fun, Functions and parties
Here at Archer’s Edge we are big on anything that spells fun. We have a few options to choose from when deciding to host your Function, Team Building and Kiddies Archery Party. Our S.A.F.E. archery tag game is also a first in South Africa and will guarantee hours of archery fun.
OPTION 1: R220 per person
(For 4-10 persons. 11 or more is R195 per person)
S.A.F.E. Archery hover ball – The S.A.F.E. Archery equipment is a recurve bow with soft tip arrows, shooting at hovering balls as a Team-vs-Team or Player-vs-Player format. Activity is an hour.
OPTION 2: R275 per person
(For 4-10 persons. 11 or more is R245 per person)
S.A.F.E. Archery hover ball – The S.A.F.E. Archery equipment is a recurve bow with soft tip arrows, shooting at hovering balls as a Team-vs-Team or Player-vs-Player format. From there we move over to Compound Styled Genesis Bows where participants will be shooting higher powered bows into archery butts. Activity is an hour.
OPTION 3: R425 per person
(This is only available for small groups – 4pax maximum – or individuals)
Option 3 is specifically for individuals who are interested in doing archery. Ages 4 to 70+ welcome to come join in the fun. In this option we set up a full compound bow, set up to your draw length and draw weight to give you the full archery experience. Experience the power of a modern compound bow!
All of the options above includes all equipment and an instructor. You are also welcome to use our lawns, bathrooms and braai facilities for the rest of your event!

Bow Functions
Depending on the functions/parties needs we do a brief overview of the different bows and accessories so that the person using the bow is comfortable and understands the equipment. We use recurve bows to do the functions/parties.
Corporate Functions & Year-end Functions, Team Building & Bachelors Parties
We try and incorporate team building shoots. We make sure everyone understands and have all gone through a few practice rounds. We then group into two teams, we advise that you do that beforehand, that you can give your teams different names and have them build up the teams and team spirit before the event. We then compete as a whole team, doing a few rounds of archery.
We try to incorporate various teambuilding aspects into a session, including teamwork, communications and motivational aspects. All in high spirits and good, clean fun!
It takes an hour and a half to do all activities whereafter you can still use the facilities.
We do have cold drinks and snacks available which you can purchase in the shop, but with functions you are more than welcome to bring your own cold drinks. This is an active shooting range, therefor NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED. But you are more than welcome to bring along your own catering and some snacks or you can braai a big lunch. (We have braai facilities available) and also a big lawn that you can utilise for a picnic.
Range Times
You are also more than welcome to arange your own function if your group consist of archers with their own equipment.
The Range open to the public any time during business hours:
- Field Archery Range R 85 per day (Own Equipment) – No booking required
- 3D Archery Range R110 per round (Own Equipment) – No booking required
- Combination Field and 3D Archery Range Fee R145 – No booking required
3D Range use allows for only shooting 2x arrows per 3D target (multiple targets at distances from 12yds to 83yds) – Distances are unmarked for 3D and requires estimating or a rangefinder.

We would recommend that you then have prizes for the best shot, worst shot, for the team that one and the individual winner. You can also make it interesting by having let’s say, the funniest shot or worst marksman competitions – whichever way you like.
